What about the BCG vaccination? Is it effective or does it play a role in the prevention of drug-resistant tuberculosis?

I think the BCG vaccine is not 100 percent effective, but it is the only option for preventing tuberculosis and should be given to newborns together with other vaccinations through an immunisation programme.
